Cocaine Anonymous World Services is currently entertaining a motion that if passed will alter the wording of the 11th tradition. The motion reads as follows:
To change the 11th Tradition which states:
“Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, television and films”.
“Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of all public media”.
This is a novel event in our fellowship’s and can only pass with the consent of 3/4 of all C.A. groups.
Included below is a link to a package which contains the following:
- A backstory to the motion;
- A list of pros and cons (meant as a starting point for your group’s discussions);
- The process to change the tradition; and
- A ballot for every group.
Your World Service Delegates are asking for your help in this important matter. Please take the time to review the package provided by our World Service office, take it back to your group, discuss it in your upcoming business meetings, determine your group’s conscience and have your G.S.R. or a designated group member return the completed ballot to email@example.com We are asking that you accomplish this by no later than June 8th, 2024 in order for our Area chair to be able to sign all the ballots prior to the submission deadline.
Thank you for your assistance in this very important moment in C.A. history.
Should you have any questions, please reach out to any of your World Service Delegates or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
